Job Summary

The Delivery General Labour Worker assists the delivery driver with loading, transporting, and unloading meat products. This position requires physical strength, reliability, and the ability to safely handle products while maintaining cleanliness and food-safety standards.

Main Duties
Assist with loading meat products onto delivery trucks.
Unload products safely at customer locations.
Lift, carry, push, and move heavy meat products and boxes.
Organize products inside the truck to prevent damage or contamination.
Verify products and quantities during loading and unloading.
Assist the driver in completing deliveries efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness of the truck and delivery equipment.
Follow proper food-handling, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
Maintain the cold chain and protect products from contamination.
Use carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
Help keep the loading and shipping areas clean and organized.




Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
Perform other general labour and warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements
Physically capable of performing repetitive lifting and carrying.
Able to work in refrigerated/cold environments.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings when required.
Comfortable handling packaged meat and meat products.
Able to work effectively as part of a delivery team.
Must follow food-safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
Previous delivery, warehouse, meat plant, or general labour experience is an asset.

Reports To: Delivery Driver / Logistics Supervisor

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
