Location: Satellites of West Ferris Day Nursery

Hours of Operation: Shift Between 7:00 am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday for 7.5 hours, potential for split shift

Wage: Competitive wage, plus WEG & Vacation Pay

Qualifications, Background:
College diploma in Early Childhood Education, from a recognized post-secondary institution
College of ECE current registration, in positive standing
Current VSC, no older than 6 months
Current Standard First Aid and Infant/Child CPR - WSIB approved
Current Immunization record
Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle is required
Minimum TWO years direct work experience with children and early learning
Experience with How Does Learning Happen (HDLH) curriculum
Experience with the DNSSAB QA program and how it supports HDLH
Experience and knowledge of working with community agencies
Working knowledge of CCEY act

Duties (but not limited to):
Demonstrate strict confidentiality

Implement HDLH and support planning
Implement Ministry guidelines under the CCEY act




Implement LookSee/ASQ’s and awareness of developmental needs of all children within the group
Maintain profiles and protocols for children in group
Demonstrate flexibility, dependability and ability to work as a team member
Demonstrate ability to work independently
Ensure policies and procedures of the West Ferris Day Nursery are adhered to
Promote health, safety and well-being of all children
Support positive and responsive relationships with families and children
