$123,240 – $144,988 annually + competitive benefits

We are supporting a large public-sector organization in Metro Vancouver to lead the search for its next Manager, Labour Relations. Reporting to the Director, Labour Relations, this hands-on operational leader will independently manage significant labour relations matters across a complex, highly unionized environment while coaching and developing the Labour Relations team.

The Role

– Provide day-to-day operational leadership and independently manage significant labour relations files.

– Support collective bargaining and the administration and interpretation of multiple collective agreements.

– Lead and advise on grievances, employee discipline, performance management, and workplace investigations.

– Coach and mentor Labour Relations Advisors and Coordinators and strengthen succession readiness.

– Ensure advice is timely, practical, consistent, and clearly communicated, with sound judgement on escalation.





What You Bring

– Progressive labour relations or employee relations experience within a complex unionized workplace.

– Strong expertise interpreting and administering collective agreements.

– Experience with grievances, discipline, performance management, workplace investigations, and employment legislation.

– Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing other labour relations professionals.

– Solid communication, organizational, and documentation skills, and sound judgement in sensitive matters.

– Broader public sector, K-12 or post-secondary education, healthcare, municipal, or comparable multi-union experience is highly relevant.

Location & Compensation

– Primarily an in-person role in Vancouver, BC, with regular connection to the team, leaders, and stakeholders.

– $123,240 to $144,988 annually, plus a competitive perks package.

Pay: $123,240.00-$144,988.00 per year
