Inter-Rail Transport Ltd. is seeking a HD Tech to work on Transport Trucks & Trailers

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain highway tractors and trailers
Perform CVIP inspections and complete required repairs (prefferedbut not required)
Maintain accurate service and repair records
Work under the direction of our Shop Foreman and Lead Hand
Work collaboratively with the rest of our maintenance team
Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:
Min 2 year expereince working in similar capacity
Experience working on highway tractors and trailers
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
Driver’s licence and clean abstract
Punctual, reliable and motivated
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
Comfortable using computers and tablets
Mechanic must have their own inventory of tools

Position Details:
Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Some overtime may be required
Work inside a newer, clean shop
Work alongside an experienced maintenance team
Fleet-based shop with a strong focus on preventative maintenance




Majority of repairs and maintenance completed in-house including rebuilding engines
Work on a well-maintained, high-quality fleet of highway tractors, trailers and specialized heavy-haul equipment
IRT takes pride in its equipment and invests in keeping the fleet properly maintained and repaired
Work with up-to-date diagnostic equipment and current industry technology

At IRT, preventative maintenance is a major focus. We take pride in our equipment and invest in keeping it in valuable condition rather than running equipment until it fails. This is an chance to work on a diverse, high-quality fleet in a clean shop with an experienced maintenance team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
