Trainer (Full-time)
Reporting to the Timmins GeneralManager, the Trainer will administer various training programs offered byNORCAT.
Responsibilities:
F acilitate the delivery of health andsafety programs . Courses include but are not limited to:
Surface Miner Common Core
First Line Underground Supervisor Common Core
Generic First Line Supervisor
Train the Trainer
JHSC Part 1 and Part 2
Participatein the development and continuous improvement of current and current trainingmaterial
Assistin marketing efforts to secure specific training and development contracts withcompanies in the Timmins area when required
Assistin the development of a pipeline of customer prospects for NORCAT by sellingservices to potential customers in the Timmins area when required
Otherduties as required
Experience,Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimumof three to five years of facilitation/training experience (AdultEducation)
Five ormore years of working experience in either surface, underground mining,forestry and/or construction operations
A certificate in a ‘Train the Trainer’ program would be an asset
Strongleadership, multi-tasking and communication skills
Strongteamwork and collaboration skills
Workingknowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Travelwithin Ontario is required
Abilityto travel within Canada and internationally is an asset
Workexperience in health and safety consulting is an asset
