Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care for animals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and a strong desire to support veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical care. Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
Handle and restrain animals safely during procedures to minimize stress
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Collect samples for laboratory testing and perform basic laboratory procedures
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is documented properly
Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and post-treatment instructions




Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels

Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
Laboratory experience is preferred to assist with diagnostic testing
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Compassionate nature with a genuine love for animals of all sizes
Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is an advantage
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
