Paving Foreman

Economy Paving Ltd. is looking for an experienced Paving Foreman to join our growing road construction team. The successful candidate will lead Paving crews on road construction, commercial, and site development projects throughout Alberta.

This position requires robust leadership, experience operating in road building and civil construction settings, and the ability to manage crews, schedules, and jobsite production safely and efficiently. As well as the willing to work out of town or province.

Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate paving crews and daily site operations
Read and interpret construction drawings and site plans
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower requirements
Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and subcontractors
Monitor production, quality control, and project progress
Ensure proper site safety procedures are followed at all times
Train and mentor crew members and operators
Complete daily reports and communicate job progress to management
Assist with troubleshooting grading and site issues as they arise

Qualifications




Experience as a Paving Foreman in civil construction
Strong knowledge of paving operations, grading, road building, and site development
Ability to read blueprints and understand elevations and site grades
Experience working around GPS and grade control systems is an asset
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage crews in a quick-paced environment
Valid driver’s license required
Class 1 or Class 3 license is considered an asset

GPS machine control systems
