Looking to grow your career in the oilfield? As an MPD Operator, you’ll play a key role in supporting Managed Pressure Drilling operations at the well site. This hands-on position offers the prospect to work with specialized equipment, gain valuable field experience, and be part of a strong, safety-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with rig-up and rig-down of MPD equipment
Support operation of MPD systems during drilling activities
Monitor pressures and fluid flow, reporting any issues promptly
Assist with installation, removal, and pressure testing of equipment
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning
Complete daily reports, logs, and checklists accurately
Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety meetings
Work closely with supervisors, rig crews, and team members
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
1+ year of oilfield or industrial experience preferred
MPD or pressure control experience is a plus
Solid mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Positive communication and teamwork skills
Ability to travel and work rotational schedules
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Comfortable working in outdoor and physically demanding conditions
Must be able to stand, bend, and work extended hours as needed
