Duties
Safely operate log trucks along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and daily activity reports
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, logging crews, and site personnel to coordinate pickups and drop-offs
Follow all safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to environmental guidelines
Skills
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with an acceptable driving record
Proven experience operating heavy trucks,
preferably in forestry or freight transportation
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards in logging operations
Basic repair skills for routine maintenance and troubleshooting
Solid communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth operations

60 hours per week, 5 days per week Monday-Friday, overtime after 9 hours per day
Accommodations (Room and Board) provided
Pay: $38.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
La Crête, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
Commercial Truck Driving: 1 year (preferred)
