DELIVERY / WAREHOUSE PERSON

Join our team at Coastal Roots Furniture & Mattresses and be part of a locally owned furniture company serving the Comox Valley.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery / Warehouse Person. This position offers a variety of duties, including deliveries, warehouse work, showroom setup, furniture assembly, and customer service. Some heavy lifting is required as part of the job.

Responsibilities
Deliver furniture and merchandise to customers in a timely and professional manner
Load and unload furniture, mattresses, and other merchandise
Carefully move furniture in and out of customers’ homes
Receive and organize merchandise in the warehouse
Help move, arrange, and reposition furniture on the showroom floor
Assist with setting up new showroom displays
Assemble furniture when required
Keep the warehouse, delivery area, and showroom organized
Provide friendly and professional customer service
Follow company safety procedures
Assist with other general store and warehouse duties as needed





Qualifications
Valid driver’s licence
Comfortable driving a delivery vehicle
Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy furniture when required
Some items may weigh approximately 100–150 lbs and are moved with assistance
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull furniture safely
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Positive attitude and valuable work ethic
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Furniture delivery, moving, warehouse, or assembly experience is an asset
