Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting, with strong administrative skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced workplace, providing essential support to healthcare providers and ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
Greet patients and visitors at the front desk with professionalism and courtesy
Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits
Enter and update patient information accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Accuro
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
Prepare and organize patient charts, forms, and documentation in accordance with privacy regulations
Support clinical staff by handling administrative tasks related to patient records and referrals
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to promote a welcoming environment
Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, copying, and data entry as needed
Qualifications
Prior experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Accuro is desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with dental terminology is beneficial
Solid administrative skills with experience in office management, including multi-line phone systems
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in healthcare front desk operations is advantageous
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in medical office administration is a plus
Job Type: Part time
Pay: $15.45-$20.45 per hour
