Life Enrichment Aid

At Lion Healthcare, we are committed to enriching the lives of seniors in Long-Term Care and Retirement Homes across Ontario. Our Life Enrichment Aides play a vital role in promoting resident well-being through meaningful activities, social engagement, and recreational programming.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and lead daily activities that support physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of residents.
Encourage resident participation in individual and group programs while respecting personal preferences and abilities.
Work collaboratively with nursing staff, personal support workers, and other team members to integrate recreational programming into the overall care plan.
Provide companionship and one-on-one support for residents who require individualized attention.
Assist with program setup, cleanup, and documentation as required.




Contribute to a protected and positive workplace that respects residents' dignity and independence.

Qualifications:
Hold a post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology, or other related fields from a community college or university.
OR
Be currently enrolled in a community college or university diploma or degree program in the above fields.

Additional Assets:
Previous experience in recreation or therapeutic programming in long-term care or healthcare is preferred.
Solid interpersonal skills, creativity, and patience.
Ability to motivate and engage residents of varying abilities.
