We are seeking three skilled Carpenters within the Ottawa region for a growing industrial construction team. This role involves working on diverse projects such as medical infrastructure and requiring a versatile skill set and attention to detail.
Duties
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
Perform finishing, and related tasks with precision.
Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
Assist with carpentry work, and woodworking projects as needed.
Use heavy lifting techniques to move materials and equipment safely around the job site.
Follow safety protocols to identify and mitigate potential hazards during all phases of work.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Assist in restoration projects requiring specialized skills such as concrete finishing or siding installation.
Experience
Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, concrete forming, or restoration.
Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is highly desirable.
Bilingual (French and English) required
Hands-on experience operating power tools
Knowledge of construction safety practices and ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
Prior experience working with woodworking materials required.
Willingness to travel would be an asset.
