Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Sheet Metal worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be a skilled, hands-on tradesperson with solid experience in commercial HVAC and sheet metal installation.

Responsibilities
Install commercial HVAC ductwork and ventilation systems
Install ductwork, fittings, VAV boxes, grilles, diffusers and related HVAC components
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and specifications
Take accurate field measurements and make necessary on-site modifications
Lay out, assemble and install sheet metal systems
Coordinate installations with other mechanical and construction trades
Identify and resolve installation issues in the field
Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications and applicable codes
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and quality control
Help organize daily work and keep installations progressing according to schedule
Follow all company and site safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements




Red Seal Certification as a Sheet Metal Worker required
Proven experience with commercial HVAC and ductwork installation
Robust ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Experience taking field measurements and completing installations independently
Strong knowledge of sheet metal installation methods, tools and equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in the field
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Leadership or crew-supervision experience is an asset
Fall Protection certification preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
