As a registered Practical nurse, you perform the following duties:
Provide nursing care in accordance with the resident’s individualized care plan.
Assess residents and recognize changes in health status.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Monitor and document residents’ conditions, interventions, and responses to care.
Assist with wound care, vital signs, pain management, and other nursing procedures within scope of practice.
Respond appropriately to changes in residents’ conditions and urgent situations.
Collaborate with PSWs, RNs, physicians, and other healthcare specialists.
Provide support with palliative and end-of-life care when required.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Promote residents’ dignity, privacy, safety, independence, and quality of life.
Follow CNO standards, applicable legislation, and organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications




Current registration in valuable standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as an RPN.
Long-term care experience is an asset.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Vulnerable Sector Police Check within 6 months validity period.
TB Skin Test within 1 year.
Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Solid communication, clinical judgment, and organizational skills.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
LPN/RPN (preferred)
CPR Certification (preferred)
