As a Technician I - Security with Bosch Building Technologies, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems. You’ll work with experienced technicians to gain hands‑on experience with low voltage access control systems, CCTV setups, and prewiring projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components

Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems, including pre‑wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems

Provide customer training and respond to technical inquiries

Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities

Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation

May be required to work nights shifts when needed based on project/service requirements

Perform other tasks as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1‑3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry

Proficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshooting

Experience with security systems, CCTV, and alarms

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members

Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract

Able to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry

Post secondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset

Basic knowledge of low voltage systems,



CCTV, and pre‑wiring is desirable but not required

Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision

Ability to organize workload for effective implementation

Ability to complete projects on time and on budget

Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations

Ability to function as an effective team member

Ability to adapt as the external workplace and organization evolves

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop; use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are required; use of power tools; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8 m (6 feet)
