This permanent role involves various technical duties under the guidance of the department’s Manager and Supervisor. You'll handle decontamination, reassembly, and distribution of medical supplies while engaging in necessary clerical work. Applicants with knowledge in anatomy, microbiology, and infection control are preferred, and experience in an MDR setting is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments
• Test the function of medical devices prior to distribution




• Maintain organized records and documentation
• Utilize and maintain MDR equipment properly
• Implement infection control measures consistently
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education
• Successful completion of a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program
• Relevant experience in the field preferred
• Understanding of microbiology and infection control practices
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing
