As a Planner I with the City of Hamilton, you will manage community engagement processes, conduct thorough planning research, and liaise with various departments and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have an Honours Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and two years of qualified experience, bringing expertise in strategic planning and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate community consultations for planning initiatives
• Research and analyze planning policies and documents
• Supervise consultants and project stakeholders
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Review compliance of development proposals with local policies
Requirements:
• Minimum two years of relevant urban planning experience
• Full member or candidate member of Canadian Institute of Planners
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of municipal and provincial planning legislation
