Job DescriptionCREW SCHEDULERNanaimoThe opportunityTheCrewScheduler ensuresthatSchedulingServicesmeets operational requirements and company objectives in accordance with operational policies, the collective agreement and regulatory requirements for vessels and shore positions.The RoleReporting to the Manager, Scheduling Services, youwillperform the following duties:Handlingshort term absence and replacement requests to ensure that crewing profiles and terminal staff allocations are met in an productive and cost-effective manner.Ensuringoperational, regulatoryandcollective agreement compliance and by analysing work assignments and scheduling for optimum utilization of staff in a acost-effectivemanner.Implementingschedules and staff assignments prepared by crewing officers/advisorandcross checking as required.Generatingand controllingtime sheets and crew listsaccurately and on time.Maintainingsuperior customer service skills and positive relationships in communication with employees and in resolving problems and issues.Undertakinglonger term planning functions in support of leave programs.Monitoringand forecastingneedstoprepareaccurate schedules for implementationmonthly.What you bring to the teamEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma supplemented by some post-secondary educationThorough knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel1-3 years of office experience preferably in a complex unionized environmentExperience with staff scheduling systems,
