Elevate Alberta’s insurance practices as a Compliance Officer, operating from Edmonton. This full time position focuses on regulatory compliance and supports consumer protection initiatives.
The Compliance Officer role within the Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance requires a proactive approach to market conduct oversight. You will investigate complaints, perform compliance reviews, and monitor adherence to the Care-First framework, playing a crucial role in safeguarding Alberta consumers’ interests.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform insurer compliance examinations as per regulatory demands
Identify and escalate compliance concerns with supporting analysis
Address consumer inquiries and financial complaints effectively
Support Medical Assessments and monitor insurance practices
Prepare reports and notices for industry stakeholders
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial services
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Knowledge of the insurance industry and regulatory frameworks
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Contribute to effective insurance regulation and consumer fairness in this critical position.
