Job Description: Reporting to the Primary Health Care Manager, under the leadership of the Clinical Manager of Mental Health and Addictions and the supervision of a Senior Mental Health Therapist, the Mental Health Therapist is responsible to provide a wide range of mental health services to a broad population of clients. They are responsible for the planning, development, organization and delivery of counselling services of children, youth, adults and their families with the goal of restoring mental health and/or supporting clients to learn skills to manage their illness. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Experience Nursing experience working with clients with chronic mental illness
Knowledge & Abilities Ability to provide public/educational presentations
Advanced knowledge of best practices of assessment, treatment & case management
Demonstrated ability to perform effective, evidenced-based treatment plans.
Ability to work flexible hours
Sound clinical judgement skills.
Plan, develop and conduct variety of treatments and psycho-educational groups
Knowledge in mental health assessment systems
Ability to work cooperatively in an integrated interdisciplinary team
Ability to effectively manage a large volume of work
Professional maturity and leadership in clinical area.
Ability to take initiative
Able to cope w/ clinical, ethical, legal issues involving mental health services
Other Education & Training Master of Psychology is acceptable
Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
Other Information Fort Qu'Appelle is located approximately 74 km east of Regina
Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
