Empower autistic individuals as a Skills Coach with Canucks Autism Network. This role focuses on creating positive, adaptive learning environments through sport instruction and participant engagement.
As a Skills Coach, your responsibilities will involve developing lesson plans tailored to participant needs and program curricula. You will utilize autism-informed coaching techniques to ensure all participants thrive in their activities. Team collaboration is essential, as you will guide Support Workers and Volunteers to maximize the impact of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver organized lesson plans tailored to participants
• Use autism-informed methods to adapt activities
• Foster a supportive and engaging learning setting
• Coordinate with the Onsite Supervisor to meet participant needs
• Ensure smooth session management and timely activities
Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of coaching experience
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
• Clear criminal record check required
• Ability to skate forwards and backwards for specific programs
• Passionate about enhancing autistic individuals' experiences
