Position Status: Full-time
Compensation: $45,000 –$48,000

About the role: The YMCA provides employmentsupport services to both job seekers and employers. We provide one-on-one andgroup services including needs assessments, career planning, job search supportincluding job developing services. Reporting to the Manager,



the Job Developeris responsible for successfully matching job seekers to employmentopportunities by advocating and using marketing skills.
In this role, you will: Research and identify companies, industries and growthsectors that are hiring to access job postings and uncover hidden job marketopportunities
Connect with employers to market job seekers for thepurpose of successful job matching
Provide information to employers on employer-relatedprograms and services that support the labour market needs
Effectively pre-screen and match job seekers toappropriate employers
Connect employers to employer engagement staff to helpfacilitate their human resource needs
Work in conjunction with department interventionists toprovide wrap around support
Make referrals, where necessary, for employment anddisability related supports
Participate in case management and make referrals whennecessary
Assist the employer in onboarding the employee intoworkplace expectations
Assist the client in strategies, accommodations, andsupport to maintain employment in the workplace
Stay current with certification, training requirementsand professional development
Foster a work environment that is collaborative andcooperative
Gather and document relevant client information inLaMPSS and complete and submit monthly reports to Manager
Education and skills qualifications: Degree or post-secondary education in Human Servicefield or related field of study, or a combination of education and work-relatedexperience




Access to reliable transportation
Knowledge of community organizations, serviceproviders, and referral agencies
Demonstration of inclusionary practice, ethicaldecision making, and respect for diversity
Ability to effectively market job seekers resulting inemployment
Experience in networking, rapport building and oral andwritten communication
Commitment to career development and careerself-management
Experience with MS Office applications and onlinecommunication tools

A Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, andChild Abuse Register Check (less than 6 months old), if 18 years of age orolder
Valid First Aid and CPR Training
