Jardeg is currently recruiting for Carpenter Apprentices to work with Technical Workforce Inc. for the North Calgary Water Servicing Project in Calgary, AB!
This position is a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. At this time, only local candidates will be considered.
As a Carpenter Apprentice, You Will Work under the direction of Journeyperson Carpenters and Forepersons while developing your carpentry skills on a large infrastructure construction project
Assist with the construction, installation, and removal of concrete formwork systems.
Learn to measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to project requirements
Support the construction of concrete chutes, forms, and related structures used for concrete placement
Assist in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and layout information under supervision.
Help erect, dismantle, and maintain temporary structures, scaffolding, and access systems as required.
Perform material handling, site preparation, and general labour duties to support construction activities
Inspect work with supervisors and identify deficiencies or concerns for correction.
Follow all site safety procedures, participate in toolbox talks, and report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately




Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; support end-of-shift cleanup
Minimum Requirements Preference will be given to candidates that registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority
Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
Experience with concrete formwork required
Fall Protection is an asset
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
