This position offers a full time temporary contract from September 8, 2026, to June 25, 2027, or until the return of the current instructor. Candidates must possess a degree or formal training in Science, suitable for teaching at the secondary level. Experience and BC Teacher Certification are preferred to ensure that each student receives the highest quality education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Science 9, 11-12 courses including Environmental Science
• Prepare lesson plans and course materials
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress
• Foster a positive classroom environment
• Communicate with parents regarding student performance

Requirements:
• Degree or formal training in Science education
• BC Teacher Certification preferred
• Experience teaching secondary science subjects
• Ability to work on-site at Elkford Secondary
• Compliance with Criminal Records Review Act
