Join Rockport Commercial as an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for our in-house excavation team in Manitoba. Ideal candidates will operate various equipment and support internal construction projects.

This role demands versatility as you work on diverse projects, including apartments and commercial spaces in Manitoba, with occasional trips to Calgary. You will operate heavy machinery and assist hands-on with construction duties, including grading and groundwork. When the Superintendent is away, you will lead site operations, ensuring project progress and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate excavators, dozers, and loaders for various tasks
• Assist with checking grades and collaborating with the crew




• Take charge of job site when Superintendent is unavailable
• Transition to winter earthworks and snow removal during off-season
• Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment

Requirements:
• Proven experience on active construction sites
• Ability to read civil blueprints and manage grade stakes
• Robust leadership skills for crew management
• Valid Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s Licence preferred
• Clean driver’s abstract needed
