Role Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll & Advantages, and focusing on OEGRC (OEG Retail Cannabis), this role would be responsible for processing payrolls accurately, on a timely basis, while continuously looking to identify efficiencies.



The Payroll Administrator would also assist with HRIS & Time & Attendance projects including development, reporting, and the implementation of new initiatives.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

Process Inter-provincial Canadian Salaried and Hourly full-cycle payroll (Bi-weekly)

Process new hires, terminations, leaves, employee changes (address, dependents, and bank information), pay rate changes, promotions, transfers, misc. deductions, commissions, bonuses, benefit changes and submit ROE's.

Verify time data from Time and Attendance system and import hours into Payroll Software

Calculate and verify each payroll, create employee files, save pay period back up documentation and general filing of employee information

Cross train as back up to Payroll Administrators

Ensure compliance to all employment legislation and regulatory guidelines

Assist in year-end related activities, including taxable benefits, year-end balancing and T4's

Assist with month end and fiscal year end reporting

Building and maintaining trusted working relationships by providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive and efficient working environment

You are capable of handling confidential, sensitive and personal information

You have strong planning,



multi-tasking and organizational skills

You have the ability to determine priorities with strict deadlines

You are well organized with a superior attention to detail

Ability to work individually and as part of a fun team in a fast-paced environment!

Education, Experience and Skills:

1-3 years of experience processing full cycle payroll

Designated Payroll Compliance Professional Certification or ability to obtain certification, is an asset

Working knowledge with payroll, HRIS and time & attendance systems is preferred, experience with UKG, Humanity and Dayforce would be an asset

Capable of handling confidential, sensitive and personal information

Strong planning and organization skills to determine priorities with strict deadlines

Well organized with superior attention to detail

Proficient with Microsoft Office; particularly Excel (Pivot Table & Vlookup functions)

Accounting knowledge sufficient to perform journal entries and payroll account reconciliations.

Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
