Take on a leadership role as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Royal Alexandra Hospital. This position focuses on peri-operative nursing and team collaboration.

You will be integral to patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team, specializing in various surgical services, including Thoracic and Orthopedics. Your primary responsibilities include assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care while ensuring equipment availability during both elective and emergency surgeries. Leadership and effective communication will be key to fostering a supportive environment for staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee patient care during peri-operative phases
• Manage surgical equipment and supply readiness




• Lead and support nursing staff in clinical practice
• Engage in patient advocacy and education
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards

Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited nursing program
• Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• At least 5 years in a high acuity operating room
• Proven leadership and communication abilities
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
