Position: Recruiter/Immigration Consultant - Full -Time Temporary Position (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)

About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced recruiter who is also a certified Immigration Consultant with a solid administrative background and expertise in Canadian immigration, including LMIA, AIP, PNP, Express Entry, and various federal and provincial programs. Skilled in advising candidates and employers on immigration eligibility, documentation, and compliance requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to transition to a full-time, permanent position for the right candidate who demonstrates excellence and aligns with our organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical healthcare positions, from sourcing and screening through offer acceptance and onboarding coordination.

Partner with hiring managers to confirm staffing needs, develop job postings, coordinate interviews, and support timely hiring decisions.

Assess candidates against role requirements, professional credentials, licensing standards, and organizational fit.

Build and maintain talent pipelines through relationships with healthcare professionals, educational institutions, professional associations, and other recruitment partners.

Advise candidates and employers on Canadian immigration pathways, eligibility, documentation, timelines, and compliance obligations.

Prepare, review, submit, and track immigration applications and supporting documentation, including LMIA, AIP, PNP, work permit, Express Entry,



and permanent residence matters.

Liaise with candidates, employers, legal counsel, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to address application requirements and resolve issues.

Monitor immigration status, permit expiries, employer compliance requirements, and application milestones for international hires.

Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential recruitment and immigration records in the applicant tracking system, SharePoint, and related databases.

Prepare offer letters, recruitment reports, application packages, correspondence, and other employment-related documentation.

Support onboarding administration, including benefit and pension enrolment, employee documentation, and record maintenance.

Use Microsoft 365 tools and Copilot to streamline workflows, improve collaboration, and enhance reporting and administrative efficiency.

Stay current on healthcare labour-market trends, licensing and credential-recognition requirements, and changes to federal and provincial immigration programs.

Required Qualifications

Current licence and good standing as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) or other authorization to provide Canadian immigration advice and representation.

Demonstrated experience leading full-cycle healthcare recruitment in an agency, corporate, or institutional environment.

Practical experience preparing, submitting, or supporting LMIA applications and employer-driven work permit processes.

Working knowledge of the Atlantic Immigration Program, including employer designation and endorsement requirements.

Experience with Provincial Nominee Programs, Express Entry, permanent residence pathways, and other federal or provincial immigration streams.

Knowledge of Canadian immigration legislation, documentation standards,



application procedures, and employer compliance obligations.

Understanding of healthcare occupations, professional credentials, foreign credential recognition, and licensing requirements for regulated professionals.

Strong administrative, organizational, and case-management skills, with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Hands-on experience using an applicant tracking system to manage candidate pipelines, recruitment activity, and reporting.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint, and the ability to use Copilot or similar AI-assisted tools to improve workflow efficiency.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex recruitment and immigration requirements clearly.

Strong interpersonal judgment and the ability to build effective relationships with candidates, hiring managers, employers, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.

Ability to work independently, protect confidential information, manage competing priorities, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.

Knowledge of Prince Edward Island immigration programs and processes, or demonstrated ability to learn jurisdiction-specific requirements quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience recruiting regulated healthcare professionals such as nurses, pharmacists, and allied health workers

Familiarity with the healthcare systems and recruitment landscape of the Atlantic provinces

Previous experience managing immigration support for international healthcare workers

Understanding of work permit requirements and credential recognition processes for healthcare professionals

Advanced skills in automating recruitment using M365 tools and AI-assisted features
