As an integral member of the Medical Imaging Team, you will be responsible for performing Computed Tomography imaging procedures in accordance with departmental policies, protocols and standards. You will participate as a team member to ensure efficient and safe workflow.

Produce CT images of the highest diagnostic quality to meet departmental standards

Provide exemplary patient care for Emergency Department, Unit and Out Patients

Prepare written and electronic reports as required to document all procedures and test results

Organize and prioritize work flow.

Collaborate with patient care units, physicians, external departments and other imaging modalities

Participate in QC and QA programs as required

Operate, troubleshoot and ensure that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are functioning properly

Contribute to teaching, training, educational research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities

Observe and understand organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Provide input for designing imaging policies and procedures resulting in improvements in technical quality





Adhere to organizational and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality

Perform other related patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care and cross functional responsibilities as assigned or requested

Attendance at meetings as required

Graduate of approved training program in Radiography

Current registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO)

Must have the knowledge, skills and judgment as identified in the CMRTO "Essential Competencies" to perform the services and procedures that fall within the scope of practice of the profession

Ability to organize work, set priorities, manage time effectively and produce accurate results while working autonomously or as a team player

Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills

Committed to service excellence while meeting the patient/staff needs efficiently

In keeping with the Hospital Mission, Vision and Core values, maintains and fosters a positive role within the department and to external stakeholders

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills

Ability to handle stress and conflict management in a professional, effective manner

Demonstrates excellent leadership qualities

Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position while working alone

Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

CT training would be an asset

IV insertion skills/certificate would be an asset

CT Imaging courses would be an asset

Status: Permanent Part-Time 0.4 FTE

Salary:



$38.783 to $52.928 per hour

Hours: Friday and Saturday; Nights; 2300-0700hrs (Hours are subject to change as per operational needs)
