Northern Lights College seeks a part time Practical Nursing Instructor in Fort St. John, BC. This role involves delivering integrated nursing practice education with flexible scheduling from Tuesday to Saturday.
The position focuses on teaching APN 135: Integrated Nursing Practice A, emphasizing the art and science of nursing. As a temporary instructor, you will foster nursing care through clinical decision making, assessments, and interventions, promoting health and comfort in students. Commitment to student achievement and effective communication are essential in this collaborative instructional role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver APN 135 course content effectively
• Facilitate nursing assessments and ethical care
• Integrate theory and practice in diverse settings
• Collaborate with health sciences instructional teams
• Support student motivation and academic success
Requirements:
• Diploma in Practical Nursing or BSN
• Current LPN, RPN, RN, or NP license
• 3-5 years recent Canadian nursing experience
• Coursework in Indigenous cultural safety
• Strong written and oral communication skills
