Automotive Service Advisor / Appointment Coordinator Pay Rate: $20 - 25 per hour Truro Nissan
Truro Nissan is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Advisor / Appointment Coordinator .
This combined position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently manage customer appointments while supporting the daily operation of a busy automotive service department.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming service calls, emails, and online appointment requests.
Schedule service appointments according to customer needs, technician availability, and shop capacity.
Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming service experience.
Discuss vehicle concerns and accurately document the customer’s service requests.
Prepare and open repair orders with complete customer and vehicle information.
Review recommended maintenance based on the vehicle’s mileage and Nissan service guidelines.
Explain required repairs, maintenance services, timelines, and estimated costs.
Obtain customer authorization before additional work is completed.
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles.
Coordinate with technicians, parts staff, and service management to help keep appointments moving efficiently.
Review completed repair orders and explain the work performed and related charges.
Schedule follow-up appointments and contact customers regarding recommended or declined services.
Assist with appointment confirmations,
reminders, customer retention calls, and service campaigns.
Help maintain accurate customer records in the dealership management system.
Address customer questions or concerns professionally and involve management when necessary.
Support the dealership’s customer satisfaction, productivity, and sales goals.
Qualifications
Previous experience in automotive service, customer service, appointment scheduling, or a dealership environment is an asset.
Strong communication, listening, and organizational skills.
A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to excellent customer service.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Comfortable using computers, telephone systems, email, and scheduling software.
Ability to explain automotive maintenance and repair information clearly.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Valid Nova Scotia driver’s licence.
Familiarity with Nissan vehicles, dealership management systems, or manufacturer warranty procedures would be considered an asset.
