Hickman Automotive Group i s looking for a Parts Counterperson to join our team at our HML Chevrolet Cadillac location in St. John's NL . If you are an energetic and motivated individual who is looking for growth within a family-owned company, we would love to have you!

The Parts Counterperson contributes to managing the parts inventory, ordering parts, and works to meet customers’ needs.

Responsibilities

Conducting parts sales via telephone and internet

Searching and supplying parts through our electronic catalogue for a variety of customers which includes retail, wholesale, as well as our service department technicians

Ensuring all special order parts are ordered in a timely manner and notifying customers once they arrive

Invoicing and accepting payments from our retail and wholesale customers

Proper care, stocking and attention to parts bins

Assist with loading and unloading of freight

Qualifications

Understands the importance of excellent customer service

Organizational Skills

Ability to assist the Parts Manager in analyzing and resolving discrepancies between computer inventory and actual parts on hand

Ability to receive customers, establish rapport, and determine and attend to customers' needs

Ability to match customers' needs with appropriate parts or services

Knowledge of parts counter procedures,



such as requiring prepayment for special orders, etc.

Ability to lift some heavy parts

Ability to work as a team member.
