In this vital role, the Direct Support Worker will help ensure the safety and emotional well-being of residents at Bethany Home. You'll engage in individualized counseling, handle crisis situations, and maintain a clean and supportive atmosphere. This position is suited for candidates eager to support youth reintegration into the community through empathy and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional and psychological support to residents
• Manage incidents and implement crisis intervention
• Complete documentation on resident behaviors and activities
• Prepare meals and maintain cleanliness of the home
• Communicate effectively with residents and professionals
Requirements:
• Two-year relevant post-secondary education
• Minimum one year experience in related field
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate preferred
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
