We're currently looking for a Yard Labourer for a temporary contract of at least 8 weeks with a well-established manufacturing company in Welland, ON. Start Date: Wednesday, September 9, 2026 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Wage: $24.10/hour Overtime: May be required depending on operational needs and is paid after 40 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities Perform general labour duties throughout the yard and production areas.
Assist with loading, unloading, moving, organizing, and storing pipe and other materials.
Help guide and position materials safely during yard operations.
Package materials for shipping and storage using lumber, racks, stacking, and strapping.
Tally and verify pipe for shipping and receiving purposes.
Inspect materials for visible damage and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Use RF equipment to complete inventory transactions and cycle counts as required.
Follow production schedules and assist with maintaining an efficient flow of materials.
Maintain a clean, secure, and organized yard and work area.
Assist with equipment and machinery cleaning as required.
Communicate production, material, or equipment concerns to supervisors.
Follow all company policies, procedures, PPE requirements, and health and safety standards.




Participate in continuous improvement and workplace problem-solving initiatives.
Perform other general labour duties as assigned, provided appropriate training has been completed.
Job Requirements Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous general labour, manufacturing, construction, warehouse, or yard experience is an asset.
No forklift licence or forklift experience is required.
Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform repetitive physical work and frequent heavy lifting.
Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely around moving equipment and materials.
Good verbal communication skills.
Reliable transportation to the Welland worksite.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
Required PPE CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots.
