Adecco is currently hiring a full-time CNC Machinist for our client in Bowmanville, ON.
This is an excellent prospect for an experienced machining professional who enjoys working in a precision manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality components. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment while supporting quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the production process.
Pay Rate: $24.33 - $30.42/hour

Responsibilities:
CNC Setup, Programming & Operation
Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to perform rough and finish machining operations
Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
Load and secure raw materials using clamps, jigs, fixtures, and other work-holding devices
Perform machine setups and make program adjustments as required
Design and recommend jigs and fixtures to improve production efficiency
Monitor machine performance and optimize machining processes
Quality Control
Conduct first-piece inspections prior to production runs
Perform in-process and final inspections to verify product quality and dimensional accuracy
Ensure all finished components meet engineering specifications and quality standards
Complete quality documentation and inspection records as required
Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, equipment, and material issues
Recommend improvements to machining processes, tooling, production methods, and workflow
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and productivity
Work closely with Supervisors and Plant Management to implement process enhancements
Equipment Maintenance & Training
Maintain CNC equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance activities
Assist with training and mentoring new employees on CNC machine operation and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
Formal Machinist training through an apprenticeship, diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 2-5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
Experience performing machine setups, program modifications, and tooling adjustments
Knowledge of machining practices, tolerances, and quality control processes
Experience conducting first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
Experience training or mentoring employees is considered an asset
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
