Join the BC SPCA as a Farm Animal Care Specialist and make an impact on animal welfare. This part time position focuses on caring for farm animals at the Nanaimo Community Animal Centre.

Working 32 hours per week from Wednesday to Saturday, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and welfare of farm animals while also assisting with companion animal tasks. This position requires strong communication and collaborative abilities, as you will guide volunteers and coordinate responsibilities to enhance animal care efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily feeding and sanitation for animals
• Support veterinarians in administering approved treatments
• Monitor supply inventories for farm care needs




• Document animal welfare assessments systematically
• Facilitate positive experiences for animal adopters

Requirements:
• High School Diploma with two years’ direct experience
• Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Understanding of animal welfare best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills for community interactions
• Physical endurance for hands-on responsibilities
