Shape the future at Howe Sound Secondary School by teaching Spanish, English, and Physical Education to Grades 10-12. This role combines critical thinking and collaborative learning strategies for student growth.
SD48 seeks a qualified educator with a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate for a full-time term from September 8, 2026, to January 29, 2027, or until the return of the incumbent. In this role, you will leverage technology and build inclusive classrooms that merge personal growth with educational excellence. Your experience in secondary education and knowledge of the BC Student Performance Standards will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Spanish from Grades 10 to 12 and English, Grade 10
• Deliver engaging Physical Education lessons for Grade 10
• Collaborate with peers for supportive, interdisciplinary learning
• Utilize technology for attendance, instruction, and reporting
• Mentor students on aligning personal interests with career opportunities
Requirements:
• Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
• Relevant university degree or equivalent
• Experienced teaching Spanish, English, and PE
• Knowledge of new Ministry curriculum and competencies
• Familiarity with BC Student Performance Standards
