As our Financial Planner, you will do real planning work, service our clients, help bring in new business, and keep the day-to-day running smoothly. This is a blended role. Part planner, part client service, part business development, part operations. You will sit in on and eventually lead planning meetings, build out the analysis behind client plans, and be a confident voice clients trust the moment they pick up the phone.
You will take on the clients we see as the right fit for these meetings and manage higher-net-worth relationships.
This role is built for someone entrepreneurial. Someone who wants to build something, not just maintain it.
What You Will Do Take on regular planning meetings with new and existing clients, leading the conversation with confidence and clarity
Handle initial meetings with prospects who book online, and run info-gathering calls with clients to build out their plans
Manage HNW abd UNW clients Financial Plans
Prepare client meeting agendas, packages, and supporting documentation
Draft post-meeting summary letters and track follow-up items to completion
Build and update financial plans in Conquest as client circumstances change, and provide quick, useful insights for financial plans
Enter and manage YCharts data related to clients' investments
Compile and organize investment account information, statements, and plan inputs ahead of meetings
Help prospect new clients, including cold calling and marketing outreach
Onboard current clients, walk them through the welcome process, and make sure the first 90 days feel seamless
Service our clients across account work and follow-ups, keeping everything moving and in good order
Maintain clean, current client records in the CRM
Use project management applications to track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
Coordinate with the Wealth portfolio management team on implementation and account setup
Coordinate with custodians, life insurance companies,



and internal partners to resolve issues and keep workflows moving
Stay current on planning concepts, Canadian tax rules, and platform updates, and bring ideas back to the team
What We Are Looking For 2+ years of experience in financial services, ideally with financial planning exposure
Very confident and an excellent speaker. Clients should feel taken care of every time they hear from you
Detail-oriented and hyper organized. You catch the things other people miss
Entrepreneurial. You want to build, prospect, and grow, not just maintain
Great with technology and AI. You use tools to work faster and smarter, and you are quick to pick up new ones
Working experience with planning software (Conquest), YCharts, CRMs, back-office software, DocuSign, and project management applications is preferred
Basic working knowledge of Canadian account types (RRSP, RRIF, TFSA, RESP, FHSA, non-registered, corporate, etc.)
Pathway started to a CIM designation is preferred, with a clear interest in becoming a portfolio manager. CSC, IFIC, CFP, or QAFP coursework is a strong asset
Strong written communication to match your phone presence
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, while staying connected to the team
Work Setup Initial training will be in-person in Toronto
Once training is complete, the role moves to fully remote
Monthly and quarterly team meetings, some of which may be in-person
