Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a full-time Staff Geologist to perform Phase II Environmental Site Assessment reports in our Vancouver region. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 0-2 years of experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & TASKS
Manage several concurrent environmental projects from site investigation through remedial action oversight
Project research (historical, analytical, etc.)
Database management
Field mobilization
Organization of workload and time management
Communication with client and subject site representatives
Data compilation and organization
Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager associated with report deliverable schedule and plan
Participate in key client and regulatory meetings
Operate miscellaneous equipment as required by the scope of work
Prepare scopes and proposals
Prepare quality supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Site background data collection and field reconnaissance for Environmental Site Assessments and Environmental Compliance Assessments, including regulatory agency research
Conduct, but not limited to, drilling and soil sampling, groundwater well installation, development and sampling, and free product recovery
Review and analysis of analytical data, comparison, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and data management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in environmental sciences, civil engineering, geology or a related discipline
Current 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus
Phase II ESA experience is preferred
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Experience with Projects, CAD, and CorelDRAW are a plus
3 to 4 years of relevant experience in environmental or engineering consulting, groundwater and soil sampling, and groundwater and soil remediation
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
Requires frequent bending, reaching, and standing, walking, sitting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
