The successful candidate:

Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree

Must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers

Intermediate/Senior Mathematics qualificationsrequired

Intermediate/Senior Science qualificationsrequired

Successfulsecondary teaching experience preferred

Proficiencywith D2L preferred

Understandingofblended learning and on-lineteaching pedagogy

Experience in a Catholic school preferred

Previous experience in continuing education programs an asset

Aworking knowledge of the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations, Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession, and the Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession

A practicing Catholic with an active Catholic Faith life

Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate or equivalent, or proof of initiation into the Roman Catholic Church

Proficient knowledge & understanding of Ontario curriculum, evaluation & assessment techniques

Current in understanding of research, integrating technology and best instructional practices

Effectiveclassroom management skills and ability to create a welcoming and safe Catholic learning setting for all student

Qualifications appropriate to the position are required.
