Now Hiring: Registered Nurses (Casual) Location: Casa Mia – Vancouver, BC
About Casa Mia Casa Mia offers 90 long term care beds, consisting of primarily single occupancy rooms. Many with expansive views.
This estate home features three stories with a grand dining area, ballroom, recreation areas and large outdoor patios on each floor. Casa Mia provides our residents with a heritage estate setting and modern best practice care.
Casa Mia works in partnership with the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
What You’ll Do Coordinating resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
Completing resident assessments and individualized care plans
Administering medications, treatments, and wound care




Using PointClickCare and other electronic systems for documentation, including MDS assessments
Communicating with physicians, families , and interdisciplinary care teams
Delegating tasks to unregulated care providers (HCAs)
Assuming Charge Nurse duties , including overseeing care delivery and ensuring team collaboration
Participating in Care Conferences and Medication Reviews
What You Bring Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with BCCNM
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Proficiency in electronic documentation systems , including eMAR
Strong English communication skills , both written and verbal
Demonstrated critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
Previous long-term care experience (preferred)
COVID-19 vaccination certificate
