About the Opportunity

Lead and support the financial close process, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial results while maintaining a strong control environment and reporting requirements

Partner with various business stakeholders to understand the business

Analyze and present financial information to drive value-add decision-making

Provide guidance on new transactions, projects, processes and accounting standards while maintaining strong governance and controls

Review, analyze and summarize accounting for contracts, policies and complex transactions

Drive transformation of financial close activities through process optimization, centralization, automation, and the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.

Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, data quality, and reporting capabilities, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

Lead and support strategic projects and organizational transformation initiatives.

Manage and develop teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

About You





Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field.

CPA designation or equivalent finance experience is considered an asset.

Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in similar accounting role.

Strong knowledge and practical experience applying IFRS accounting standards, including expert-level knowledge of IFRS 15 (Revenue) and IFRS 16 (Leases).

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Experience with automation, AI, machine learning, or data analytics tools is an asset.

Passion to understand operational business and its linkages to financial processes

Highly organized, with the ability to independently plan and execute on multiple priorities and demonstrate confidence and composure in times of uncertainty and stress.

Ability to partner and build relationships to influence and engage with various cross-functional groups and management levels towards a common vision

Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues and tasks by leading resolution

Salary Range
$100,000 – $110,000 / year

You must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this opportunity.
