Overview
Our client, a leading distributor of pharmaceutical ingredients (powders, chemicals, liquids), is actively seeking a Distribution Team Leader to join their growing team. If you are autonomous, passionate about your work, and have good communication skills, as well as a sense of initiative and the will to succeed, this position is for you.

Responsibilities

Ensure that the work environment is safe, clean and organized at all times

Receive and label stock and place it into inventory

Record and post stock issued on the appropriate orders

Report overages, shortages, or damaged items to the parts manager

Aid management in replenishment of sold inventory

Work with supervisor to ensure stock and equipment requisitioned by maintenance

Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up

Collaborate to compile records concerning ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment

Organize racking and establish/optimize locations for new parts

Serve as a reference point and mentor to the team in stockroom operations applicable to their roles

Identify ways to improve training methods and communicate them to supervisors

Assist management in replenishment of sold inventory to keep inventory at an optimal level





Execute other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Post-secondary education and/or a combination of relevant experience and education

2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position or related work experience

2 to 3 years of warehouse management experience

Experience with SAP is an asset

Ability to work with a computer and fluency with Office Suite

Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills

Robust organizational skills and attention to detail

Must have a valid forklift license (counterbalance or reach)
