Applications are invited for the post of Money and Funding Adviser (FTE 0.5) working within the Directorate of Student Life at Royal Holloway University of London.
This part-time role provides an exciting opportunity to provide specialist money advice and financial wellbeing support to students, helping them overcome financial challenges and succeed in their studies while playing an important role in the delivery of Royal Holloway’s wellbeing and experience offering. The Directorate of Student Life includes a broad range of student facing teams who are core to the student journey: Active Lifestyle & Sport, Careers, Chaplaincy, Counselling & Mental Health, Disability & Neurodiversity, Hall Life, International & Money Advice, Student Casework, Student Engagement & Insights, and Wellbeing Support.
Reporting to the Head of International and Money Advice they will contribute to the work of the Directorate and support the strategy and aims of the University and Student Journey Division. Role holders will be expected to demonstrate our University values - being Daring, Innovative, Open and Respectful – in their work and be a champion of equality, diversity and inclusion.
This part-time role provides an exciting opportunity to support students in overcoming financial barriers to success and play an important role in the delivery of Royal Holloway’s wellbeing and experience offering.
They will be required to provide specialist advice on student finance, process applications for financial support and funding, manage financial hardship casework, and deliver workshops and resources that enhance students’ financial capability and wellbeing.
We are also seeking a candidate with excellent communication and casework skills, experience of providing financial advice and support, and a commitment to delivering an inclusive and student-centred service.
With roles in Student Life there is a need for mainly campus-based working to enable in-person student appointments, based on student preference and need, but there will be some prospect for working remotely each week.
