Advance your archaeological career with a Term Archaeologist role at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. This position focuses on field surveys, data recovery, and site-specific evaluations.

As part of the Knúcwmens le Sxwixwéytemc Archaeology Services team, you will engage in hands-on archaeological work including pedestrian surveys and artifact analysis. Robust candidates will have 2-3 years of outdoor experience and an understanding of archaeological processes. This role supports community initiatives through cultural resource management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field surveys and monitor archaeological sites
• Record field data and manage documentation accurately
• Engage in back-and-forth observations with lead archaeologists




• Upload field data and assist with artifact analysis
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all fieldwork

Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years outdoor field experience required
• Valid Level 1 First Aid certificate needed
• BC Class 5 driver’s licence and clean record essential
• Ability to pass drug tests throughout employment
• Knowledge about Secwepemc culture preferred
