Ability to work in a safe & production manner Read and interpret engineered drawings Knowledge of welding principles and methods All skills in the job require knowledge & skills in welding methods: SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW. Ability to follow written and oral directions Layout and fit materials according to specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met Experience with grinders, torches, plasma cutters, and forklifts, cranes, hoists, shears, saws, ironworkers & brake press. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols Layout and fitting as directed by drawing Read and follow weld procedures, QC plans, and other work instruction document Understanding of tolerances and the importance of maintaining them Setup and adjustment of welding machines and plasma torches Practice positive housekeeping methods by keeping work area clean and clear of obstructions Regular Hours - 44 hours per week with possible overtime
