As part of the Advanced Education Special Investigations team, this full time position is based in Calgary or Edmonton. Your leadership will guide investigations into fraud and identity theft within government-funded programs. You will collect evidence, prepare court documents, and mentor other investigators, playing a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of public resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead complex criminal investigations related to fraud
• Collect and analyze evidence for prosecution
• Prepare court documents and investigative reports
• Provide mentorship and support technical expertise
• Contribute to policy improvements and risk identification
Requirements:
• University degree in Law or related field
• Minimum four years of investigative experience
• Eligibility as an Alberta Peace Officer
• Proficient in investigative techniques and reporting
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
