A progressive accounting firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team. This role is ideal for professionals looking to broaden their experience across accounting, assurance, and tax while working closely with clients and senior leadership in a supportive environment.

About the Role
Reporting to the management team, you will play a key role in delivering accounting and assurance engagements for a diverse client base. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of industries while mentoring junior staff and developing the technical and leadership skills needed for future career advancement.

What You'll Do

Prepare and review financial statements, working papers, and tax returns

Lead engagements from planning through completion with minimal supervision

Mentor and support junior team members on client files

Communicate directly with clients to resolve accounting and reporting matters

Assist managers with engagement planning, budgeting, and workflow management

Research and resolve technical accounting and tax issues





Contribute to continuous process improvements and quality initiatives

What You'll Bring

CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program

3-5+ years of public accounting experience

Experience preparing financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and assurance engagements

Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

Excellent communication and client service abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Experience working with private company clients is considered an asset
