Overview
As a Senior Accountant, you will provide advanced financial support and analysis to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. Your goal will be to deliver high quality financial insights, strengthen reporting processes, and support informed business decision making. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently meet reporting deadlines, uphold robust financial controls, and contribute to both team effectiveness and your ongoing professional growth.

Your Responsibilities
Lead the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting documentation, providing meaningful analysis of results and variances
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Coordinate the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures, including supporting schedules and analysis
Provide oversight and mentorship to intermediate accountants and CPA students,
fostering capability development and knowledge sharing
Support tax-related inquiries and contribute to the preparation of tax provisions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Prepare and review audit working papers and liaise with internal and external auditors to support audit requirements
Maintain and evaluate internal controls, identifying opportunities for enhancement and ensuring compliance with established frameworks
Contribute to external reporting requirements, including submissions to regulatory bodies such as Statistics Canada, and support ad hoc analyses and special projects
Your Skills
Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to support business decisions
Demonstrated ability to lead work processes and influence outcomes through collaboration, accountability, and sound judgment
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Effective prioritization and organization skills within deadline-driven environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, to support financial analysis and reporting
Your Experience
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting
Experience in audit support, financial analysis, and working within structured reporting environments
